I just recieved a bag of the new coals to try and will do a write up on what I find.

Another good reason to cook this weekend.

Most area will be seeing it in the spring (April is what they have said).

I used to frequent the bge forums and read most of thenakedwhiz's material and his lump test comparisons but haven't for more than a year.

 

I'll stick with lump as I always have.

I used the K Comp a few weeks ago in the smoker and liked it better than the standard K for the same reasons cited in the review ( longer burn, faster start, and less ash). Costco was selling it at special promo price ( I think it was around $3 cheaper than normal) and found it worth the additional cost.
