Once again it is great to see someone bring a classic back to life. As mentioned in the above thread the gal that posted the pic on craigslist that I seen I suspect looked much like the grill you are refurbing. Also as mentioned parts are still to be had from MHP and if you ever call them don't be surprised if Tom (son of designer) answers the phone. Looking forward to seeing some pics.

I am using one drive from my windows phone. This is the only app that would allow me to copy/paste.If anyone would like me to send to your email I don't have a problem with that.Windows Phone apps are a pain.

The left grill has propane on the left and charcoal on it's right half.I used disposable aluminum pans to hold the applewood chunks and hard lump wood poking holes for air to get in from the sides and the opening where the post would normally mount. This dropped the distance from the grate to the heat source couple of inches and lets me have a decent amount of wood and still not be too hot!
The right side grill is gas on the rich half and setup like the left with the left half for wood or charcoal ONLY that grill has three holes allowing smoke transfer into the gas half as well in addition to the tinder box if needed.
I repurposed this with $50 spent and a little time.It is NOT a restoration. It is alot of cooking space. These grills put out heat with little gas or wood needed due to being aluminum and have impressed me with how great the food tastes.I make enough money to buy whatever I want.I would not replace this grill/smoker/hybrid beast.

Convertedman,

Looking forward to seeing the finished product.  Nice to see someone work to restore such a nice grill.

I use Windows Phone 10. I have also used Android Marshmallow of the 2 Windows is the FAR less pain. One Drive gives you a choice. You can either send/paste a link or the actual image or file. Just do a little homework

I agree with you on your aluminum comment. I have one grill in the herd that is all thick wall cast aluminum (PK charcoal) and that puppy retains heat, even cook temps across the grate. Everything that comes off of it is moist and juicy. Would like to think its the cook but I know better.
Truth be told other than limited grate space when smoking ribs, BB, brisket etc it rivals the performance of my BGE's.

Will do under the hood.Vanole,I have found a rotisserie that fit a cog in between the two grills on a common shaft that might open up a few more options. In the deranged side,I also have an old sleep number remote controlled air pump I may make a manifold for to send steady controlled air to the center grills. Thanks for the replies,Richie
