bacon and prime rib...take a look at the pics...i wrapped a prime rib roast with fresh slabbed bacon :D . then i seasoned it with an herb mix...cooked it for a couple of hours on the ROT...it came out so goood..

I had to settle for BBQ sauced chicken thighes and a Pinot. At least the Lakers won... :lol:

While I personally don't like to combine bacon and beef (sorry jimbo) - I'd be willing to forget that and munch right through that magnificent roast you have so graciously shared with us here! Damn! That's salivating - and I'm here at the shop with naught to satiate my hunger (fine til I saw your post) except for some boxes of thin pretzels! Small consolation when the eyes start the juices flowing for prime rib. Oh well, at least they are salted.. :D

Don't worry about Mikey EZ, some prime rib with your Bacon is ok, its a great way to highlight the fresh Bacon and I myself admire your fortitude, what better way to showcase the Bacon than wrapped around a prime rib roast :D

Did someone say BACON?????


i usually don't like the combination of meat with bacon as well mike. but i had this fresh bacon that that we didnt use so i felt let me make use of it...the bacon had a good flavor as did the roast.this weekend i am making beef back ribs. i will post some pictures on sunday...
