Here's a little tip on how to get rid of those scratches for Lowes and the ones you might put on your Jenn Air stainless steel grill. Attached to this message is a PDF of 3M products. Looking in the PDF on page 5, check out pad #96. Click to view attachment

My grill was a floor model, and when I got it home I found a number of minor scratches in the finish of the top shelves. I had on hand a few of the pads mentioned above. I normally use them to prep aluminum before welding in my shop. These pads will cause very fine scratches that look just like the original finish on your Jenn Air. Matching the original direction of the grill's surface finish, I rub the Scotch-Brite pad in the same direction. It will mask over just about any minor scratches to where you can no longer see them.

Similar to other product warnings, try the pad in a spot not so obvious and make sure it gives you the results acceptable to you before doing a high visible area.

These pads are also good for cleaning any area that normal cleaners won't touch. Keep in mind they will cause fine scratches.

Happy grilling,

These are very similar to what they use where I work to scuff areas for paint application. A good precaution Eric noted to do it where you can't see if first so you don't cause yourself worse problems. sad.gif I also wonder if BarKeepers Friend would work on minor scratches. unsure.gif It's also a mild abrasive. I know it worked like a charm with elbow grease to get that smoke stain I had out. Maybe it's not aggresive enough for scratches though. Just a thought.
