Here are two very easy and quick appetizers for your grilling guests!!
Grilled kielbasa in maple syrup/dijon mustard glaze
- 1 lb of kielbasa or smoked sausage
- jar of maple syrup
- jar of favorite dijon mustard
Procedure:
Cut kielbasa into bite sized chunks and add to a skewer. Cover and rub the skewered meat with maple syrup. Repeat this process with the mustard (you can also combine equal parts of each and do this in one step) Heat grill to medium high heat and add the skewers. Cook for about 15 minutes turning frequently. Remove, plate and enjoy!!!
Grilled bacon wrapped mushrooms
- 1 lb whole mushrooms
- 1 lb of bacon
- jar of favorite bbq sauce
Procedure:
Clean mushrooms and cut the bacon strips in half. Take bacon halves and wrap each mushroom cap and stick onto skewer. Cover kabobs in generous amounts of bbq sauce and stick on medium high heated grill. Cook for approx 20 minutes or until bacon is well cooked. Baste mushrooms frequently with additional sauce. Turn frequently to minimize burning and remove once cooked. Serve them with a side of bbq sauce for dipping and enjoy!!!
