Full Version: Smoker King's Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients:
1-Pound Large Gulf Shrimp(13/15 Count) (Peeled and Deveined Tail On)
1/2-Cup Olive Oil
2-Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
2-Tbsp Brown Sugar
1-Tbsp Tabasco Soy Sauce
1-Finely Chopped Jalapeno
1-Tbsp Honey
1-Tsp Garlic Powder
1-Tsp Onion Powder
2-Limes

Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients incuding the juice of one lime
2. Mix well
3. Add shrimp
4. Refridgerate for 30 minutes, stirring at 15 minutes to make sure the shrimp are coated evenly
5. Place on skewers, and grill on medium heat for 3-4 minutes, turning once.
6. They cook very fast, and when they are pink, they are done.
7. Take them off the skewers, lightly sprinkle them with juice from the other lime
8. Serve

Is "tabasco soy" a product I have not yet seen or a typo?

Yes, Tabasco Soy Sauce is great stuff. I use it in my fajita marinade recipe, and also to sautee bell peppers and onions.

Well, I've made these twice now and they are simply fabulous. We broght them to a friends house this weekend as hours devours and they were gone within minutes. Great recipe and very quick and easy to boot!! biggrin.gif

I am glad you like that recipe. I haven't had any complaints yet either. It is hard to keep shrimp around though when they are cooked that way.

Another one of my favorite ways to grill large shrimp is to devein the shrimp, place a jalapeno slice and some Pepper Jack cheese in the deveined shrimp, wrap the shrimp with bacon and then secure the bacon with a toothpick. I then sprinkle the shrimp with lime juice and a cajun seasoning before I grill them. It is great.

I soak the toothpicks in water for about 30 minutes to keep them from burning.
