A Southern Family Cookbook

It is on the NY Times Best Sellers list to boot.

The BBQ Spaghetti is to die for.
The book even has tips for those who wish to learn the art of cooking ribs.

There are recipes of there restaurant favorites (the Neely family owns several restaurants in Memphis and Nashville)
This cookbook also has some filler information in it that are not for the pure cook but serve as an introduction to the casual user as to who the Neely's are.
It's a feel good book, but I digress

If you like Paula Deans food you will like The Neelys

The book is a whole lot cheaper on line than in the bookstore.
I paid full price in the bookstore because I just had to have it.
The only thing I dont like is that they have the BBQ Devil Egg recipe but not the Fried Devil Egg recipe.
It is on the website however.

That is a great price.
I paid $27.95 for it at Borders.

I dont know if you no Paula Deans story or the Neely's story but from where they started to where they are now are both feel good stories.
The fact that they are friends makes sense

I have actually been to the BBQ Joint that the Neely's uncle owns.
Thats where I first saw BBQ Spaghetti
I ran across Paula Dean when I was in Georgia
When she got her show she brought the Neelys on and I argued with people for a while that they were the second generation of cooking Neely's

The Uncle is featured on the BBQ in America special on the Travel Channel
It is called BBQ Paradise
